Synopsis
"Insa-dong Scandal" is about the restoration of a Joseon dynasty masterpiece and its secrets. Conflicts arise between Tae-jin Bae (Uhm Jung Hwa) and the art restoration expert she hires, Kang-jun Lee (Kim Rae Won)

Kim Rae Won movie 'Insadong Scandal' uses real background to do filming, from Korea to Beijing, China
The cast & crew spent 2 nights, 3 days to do the filming in Beijing, China. Shooting locations were mainly in China's largest Art Street & the bustling commercial street. Theres no extras, the crew used hidden video cameras to shoot the scenes, caught the most natural side of the cast & the passengers there.
When talking about the Beijing trip, Kim Rae Won said that he particularly remembered the very cold weather. He intended to visit the antique shops there, but due to the tight filming schedule that he couldnt spare time to do so, that left him a little regret.
The production cost of 'Insadong Scandal' is as high as 5.5 billion won. The shooting locations not only are in Seoul, Incheon, Gwangju, Goyang, Busan, Gimhae, Gangreung, etc., but also abroad in Beijing, China.
