Malay Mail, Kuala Lumpur, Sept 17: Issues posted on a blog and the way they are raised, could sometimes provoke unsavoury response, says a blogger.
Najmi Nordin of senikami.blogspot.com said: “Bloggers have to draw the line when it comes to comments from the public. Every piece of writing posted in the blog comes with risk and responsibility. “Some of the comments posted are commendable, but some are vulgar but these are personal responses to issues raised in the blog. However sending malicious and seditious messages is wrong.”
Muzaffar Mustapha of sultanmuzaffar.blogspot.com said: “Errant Internet users can blatantly misuse the weblog as a tool for spreading hatred. Those who use the weblog should respect one another. However, posting destructive messages could invite animosity.”
Azeana Abdul Kadir, who has been blogging for more than a year, said: “Many of my friends have either shut down their blogs or changed to a different address because they were bombarded with too many offensive postings. I have been a victim myself but that did not stop me from blogging. “I do it for fun and I don’t see why I should stop just because some people chose to be disrespectful.”
Singer and actor Afdlin Shauki of afdlinshauki.blogspot.com said: “Bloggers should be accountable for what they write in their blog;‘Berani buat berani tanggung’.“Everybody can say whatever they want in my blog but I am also bound by the law and will be held accountable if the blog contains malicious messages.”“To me, if you don’t have anything good to say, it’s better not to say anything at all.”
Badrul Hashim of badrulaftersix.blogspot.com said: “Weblog is generally meant for good use as it promotes collective minds. However, seditious and malicious messages should not be allowed.”
Azura Md Khir of waiem.blogspot.com said: “Bloggers should monitor their blogs as it is also their home.”
Hehehe tergamam gak kena interbiu mintak pendapat pasal blog sebab blog aku ni hanya blog syok sendiri. Tak de pe yang bes...penulis hanya suka suka. Nak cuba cemana buat blog sbb aku bukan tera IT. Nanti suatu hari aku citer kenapa blog ini direkacipta yach. Tengkiu pada klubbkidd sebab ingat kat mek hehe
